Mildred “Millie” Mae Bolin, 89, of Mabank, passed away peacefully April 3, 2024 in Athens. She was born Feb. 14, 1935. 
Millie, “Nanny” to most, was a kind, caring and humble woman. She had a heart of gold and devoted much of her time and energy into helping and serving others. She always made time to listen and to put the needs of others before her very own. 
Family was everything to Millie and she loved her grandchildren unconditionally. She was a dedicated, hardworking and compassionate individual committed to making people feel important and genuinely loved. She impacted so many lives in such a positive way. If you were fortunate to know her, you were fortunate to be loved by her.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Marie Schweitzer, husband Bob Bolin, brothers Alvin and Junior Schweitzer and daughter Susie Hood.
She is survived by son Larry Hood and wife Brenda, daughter Cindy Bolin and husband Calvin, sister Diane Roberts, grandchildren Bryan Bolin, Amy Baldwin and husband Tory, Lance Hood and wife Rachel and Barbie Conrad and husband Sean and great-grandchildren Jett, Rex, Lucas, Braden, Hannah, Ashley, Vada and Maverick.
