Body

Vivian Iris Scott Trout passed away June 30, 2023 at home with her family at the age of 75 after her two year battle with cancer.
Vivian was born and raised in Kemp with her parents and two siblings. She met Dan, her husband, at the skating rink in Mabank when she was 16 and they were married two years later.
Her ultimate goal in life was to be the perfect wife. Everyone aspired to have a relationship like Dan and Vivian and Dan can attest to just how perfect she was.
Vivian began working at Trinity Valley Electric Co-Op at the age of 23 after she and Dan returned from being stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
She continued working there until she passed but her favorite job was being a wife, a mom and a Meme. Vivian had a passion for dancing and could be found on the dance floor with her husband Dan, surrounded by their second family under the neon lights. Every night was a Saturday night and every day was Sunday!
Vivian was always the most selfless person in the room and this came out in her passion for cooking. She was always sure to feed anyone and everyone who came around and everyone wanted some of Meme’s hamburgers and chocolate chip cookies. She started cooking every meal for her family at 8-years-old and never stopped. She loved to spend time with her six granddaughters in the kitchen teaching them to cook her famous birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.
Vivian never met a stranger. She always showed unconditional love and support to everyone that she met. She will be missed by so many because of the amazing, humble, loving, selfless woman that she was.
Vivian is reunited with her mother and father Bruce and Martha Scott and brothers Royce and Douglas Scott.
She is survived by her husband, her children Ann Marie Thompson and son Johnny Trout and his wife Sharon, as well as her granddaughters Liberty, Riley, Stevie Kate, Ella, Vivi and Eva.
Funeral services were held July 7, 2023 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home.
