Electric Arts Festival set for Nov. 5 - 6

GUN BARREL CITY–The highly anticipated Electric Arts Festival (EAF), hosted by Gun Barrel City (GBC), is making its debut at Cedar Creek Lake, Saturday Nov. 5 and Sunday Nov. 6 at Gun Barrel City Park. Music lovers will enjoy the all-day music from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring Jazz, Blues, DJ’s playing the Top 40, 80s, 90s hits. The festival is free until 6 p.m. when the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) takes over from 6 p.m. until midnight. VIP ticket holders will be able to access the EDM Takeover at 5:45 p.m.

Henderson County holds off on burn ban

HENDERSON COUNTY–Commissioners’ Court of Henderson County discussed burn ban conditions Oct. 11 but decided not to implement an open-fire prohibition with chances of rain in the forecast.
County Fire Marshal Shane Renberg said some counties to the south of Henderson County have implemented a burn ban. He also said Henderson County averaged 587 on the Keetch-Byram Drought Index as of Oct. 10, technically exceeding the 575 threshold for considering a burn ban.
