It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Kay Doss, a beloved member of our community, who left this world Aug. 18, 2025, at her home, in Kemp surrounded by loved ones. She was born Oct. 12, 1957, in Dallas to parents Jimmie Lou and Clifton Smith, Jr.
Deborah was a proud graduate of Kemp High School, class of 1975, where she was an enthusiastic Yellowjacket. Her spirit and dedication to her hometown were evident in all that she did.

No. 3 Eustace volleyball wins Lone Oak tournament

The Eustace Lady Bulldogs volleyball team, which is ranked No. 3 in Texas Class 3A by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, wins first place at the Lone Oak Invitational Varsity Tournament, held Aug. 14 and 16. All-Tournament team selections for Eustace included Sheyenne Powell and Bodie Hudson.
