Kaufman County Sheriff Bryan Beavers spoke to a crowd of officials, law enforcement and supporters. He spoke of his accomplishments as sheriff including working co-operatively with police chiefs and sheriffs of other counties to fight crime and make the county a safe place to live.

KAUFMAN COUNTY–Kaufman County Sheriff Bryan Beavers held his re-election campaign kick-off Aug. 24 at the Kaufman Civic Center. Beavers announced his candidacy for re-election in the March 2024 Primary. 
Beavers is a 4th generation, lifelong Kaufman County resident and has been a Texas police officer for 29 years. He began as a detention officer then progressed through dispatcher, jail administrator, deputy, lieutenant, chief deputy and then sheriff for the past seven years.
Over 300 constituents and many Kaufman County elected officials were inattendance to show their support. State Representative Keith Bell introduced Beavers and spoke of his great working relationship. Criminal District Attorney Erleigh Wiley stated that the working relationship between her office and the Sheriff’s Office is better now than anytime she can remember, and that she proudly endorses Bryan to continue as Kaufman County Sheriff. 
Wise County Sheriff Lane Akin was also in attendance and spoke about the qualities it takes to be a Texas sheriff and that Bryan met all those qualifications and was as fine of a sheriff that he had ever seen.
Beavers concluded the event by ensuring supporters that he would continue to work hard for them and that their safety was a top priority to him. Beavers spoke highly of the men and women at the Sheriff’s Office and thanked them for continuing to work hard despite the unprecedented growth that our county is seeing.
