Brookshire’s and the City of Mabank partner to help those affected by the storms

City of Mabank Mayor Randy Teague (left) and City Manager Bryant Morris (right) help distribute hot meals from the Brookshire’s Community Kitchen to those affected by recent storms May 30. Teague contacted Brookshire’s for donations to help out those affected by the storms that occurred May 28. As each driver pulled up Teague asked how many dinners were needed and if they still had electricity. Teague commented, “We understand the struggle and are here to help.”

Mabank Water Department Supervisor Amanda King distributes meals to those who are in need of a hot meal. Brookshire’s Community Kitchen served 1,000 meals to area citizens.
