Electric delivery company upgrading power lines

The electric delivery company, Oncor, upgrades its power lines through a portion of Log Cabin and Caney City July 29, with work continuing to move the lines from two-phase electrical service to three-phase service, said an on-site worker with an Oncor contractor, Plaska. He said the upgrades that include replacing utility poles will allow more of an electrical load, as well as allowing system improvements and increasing reliability, adding that the improvement route runs from Caney City to Log Cabin and will eventually continue eastward. The linemen also are cutting back greenery adjacent to the rights-of-way along State Highway 198 and Ranch to Market Road 3054, the latter of which is where this photo was taken, at the main entrance to Log Cabin.
