The volunteers of Payne Springs Fire Rescue (PSFR) are alerted for a working structure fire in Cherokee Shores during the morning hours of Feb. 10. PSFR Chief 1 arrived to find what appeared to be just a wooden structure with heavy fire showing with multiple exposures. It was soon determined to be a structure that was built around a camper. The resident was able to get out of the structure prior to the arrival and was not injured. The resident did lose all possessions in the fire. The American Red Cross responded to assist the resident. PSFR was assisted by Gun Barrel City Fire Department, Eustace Fire Department and UT Health EMS. There were no injuries.
