The Mabank Fire Department holds its 32nd annual chili supper Feb. 7. This year the supper is a benefit for Chris Kemp (second from right), a 30-year police officer with the Lewisville Police Department and a 14-year volunteer firefighter with the Mabank Fire Department. After tragedy struck Kemp's family, he and wife Jennifer (second from left) stepped in to help raise his niece and nephew. Now Kemp is battling more struggles after being diagnosed with cancer, and this year's chili supper is to help Kemp and his family. Standing with Kemp and his wife Jennifer is Lewisville Police Officer Andrew Richardson (from left) and Lewisville Police Detective Jonathan Schultz.
