A major accident that occurred in the 200 block of Legendary Lane shut down traffic for over two hours May 15.  

GUN BARREL CITY—Gun Barrel City Fire and Police departments along with UT Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a major accident that occurred on Legendary Lane May 15 at 5:21 p.m.
The accident occurred in the 200 block of Legendary Lane and involved three vehicles. Three occupants in the red sedan were injured and two of the occupants were transported by UT Health EMS to UT Health in Athens. A third passenger was flown to Tyler by UT Health East Texas Air 1.
Due to the severity of the accident and follow up investigation, Legendary Lane was closed for approximately two and a half hours.
