GUN BARREL CITY—A Gun Barrel City man was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography May 22. 
According to the arrest affidavit obtained from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, a Cyber Tipline Report was received from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) Feb. 25. The CyberTip was reported by Snapchat, who reported that a Snapchat user saved, shared or uploaded a media file which contained child pornography. 
The file was forwarded to the Henderson County Crimes Against Children Task Force Investigators who obtained a warrant from CSC Holdings LLC (Optimum) for the IP address. Another search warrant was obtained for Snapchat and Google May 6.  
After investigation and review of the information from Snapchat and Google, investigators were able to determine a Gun Barrel City man uploaded a video to Snapchat Feb. 25, which involved a child under the age of 10 and a teen under the age of 18. According to the affidavit, investigators questioned the man at his residence in Gun Barrel City where he admitted he was aware of the video, but told investigators he didn’t want to talk anymore. 
He was arrested and booked into the Henderson County Jail May 22, charged with possession of child pornography. As of press time the man is still in the Henderson County Jail.
