Mayors from around Cedar Creek Lake meet regularly to mentor, support and collaborate for the betterment of the cities around the lake. Those that could meet Aug. 7 discussed and made a unanimous decision on the Hill Country fundraising. Over $32,000 will be sent to three areas that were devastated by the floods in July. Caney City Mayor Steve Pine (from left), Log Cabin Mayor Paul Eckeberger, Mabank Mayor Randy Teague, Kemp Mayor Christi Neal, Gun Barrel City’s City Manager Dr. Angie Smith, Gun Barrel City’s City Mayor Brian Crull, Tool Mayor Mike Dumont and Tool City Council Member Michael Fladmark said that they are all proud of the donations that the citizens in their town gave to help those in need.
