CEDAR CREEK LAKE–Mabank motorcyclist Robert Stickinger lost his life in an accident involving an 18-wheeler on Farm-to-Market 85 west of Seven Points Oct. 13.
According to a Department of Public Safety (DPS) report, Stickinger, 50, was operating a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle headed west when a 2008 Kenworth Truck Tractor towing a trailer turned left in front of him into Farm-to-Market 2613. The 18-wheeler was driven by 33-year-old Kyle T. Harmon of Merryville, La., according to the DPS initial investigation report.
Stickinger was pronounced deceased by Dr. Daniel Bywaters at UT Health, Gun Barrel City. The crash was investigated by DPS Trooper M. Carranza out of Athens. Harmon was reported to have no injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and no further information was available as of press time.
