PAYNE SPRINGS–Payne Springs Fire Rescue (PSFR) began 2024 by responding to a structure fire Jan. 1 at 3:37 p.m. in the Indian Harbor subdivision. The single wide mobile home is an address the department has had multiple fires in according to the report on their social media.
The last response was June 8, 2023 for a working fire.
PSFR was assisted by Gun Barrel City Fire and Eustace Fire Departments. No injuries were reported.
Sunday night, Dec. 31, 2023 at 9:54 p.m., PSFR responded to a recreational vehicle on fire in the Golden Oaks subdivision. Reports show the fire was quickly contained and PSFR units on scene handled the call.
