Police respond to call for shots fired

MABANK—Mabank Police Department responded to a call Nov. 7, in the 500 Block of East Kaufman Street where a resident reported hearing gunshots outside. 
According to a press release, a patrolman who was working in the area located a male running down the street with an apparent injury. The male was detained and given medical attention immediately and identified as Tyrese Ramsey.
It was later determined that Ramsey got into an altercation with an acquaintance, who was later identified as Terrence Boley Jr. 
According to the press release, investigators obtained warrants for Boley and subsequently took him into custody. Boley was transported to the Kaufman County Jail, where he was booked for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and deadly conduct.
