Second drowning on CCL reported

CEDAR CREEK LAKE–Payne Springs Fire Rescue (PSFR) reported the second drowning of the season on their social media, urging area residents and visitors to be cautious while enjoying the lake.
The drowning took place on July 1 shortly before the Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake Airshow was to begin and was reported in the Woodcanyon Waters subdivision. As units responded, the call was upgraded to CPR in progress. 
PSFR’s Chief 1 Was assisted by District 8 Fire and other PSFR units. Residents and guests, including a doctor and retired paramedics began CPR but the victim was unable t be resuscitated.
The first drowning occurred May 19 also reported by PSFR on social media May 21. Reports came in of a man under the water who had not resurfaced. The rescue team found the man under seven feet of water.
CPR was given and the man transported by EMS but he did not survive. 
PSFR urges residents and  visitors to take care in the water and never dive off a boat dock as water can be shallow, especially in channels.
