CEDAR CREEK LAKE–The 11th Annual Whiskers & Wags fundraiser is slated for Sept. 23, this year themed “Pearls & Paws,” so don your pearls, and don’t forget your dancing shoes.
This year’s event will be held at the CR Legacy Center in Gun Barrel City. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m. and as always, the night will be packed with entertainment and fun. All while helping the homeless and abandoned animals in our community.
New this year!
There will be “Pearls” and “Paws” bars with signature drinks, lounge areas and cocktail tables to meet up with your pack. Live entertainment will be provided by Dallas’ Premier 11-piece band, “The Project” who boasts a complete repertoire from classics to 50s, 60s, 70s music, right on up to present day hits, guaranteed to get you up and wagging your “tail.” 
This year the live auction will be held during the dinner, so you have more time for fun and dancing. Live auction items include Evolution D3 Electric Golf Cart, dining and sports experience packages, vacation packages and much more. There will be a silent auction as well with incredible items donated by area businesses and patrons.
As always, there will be a delectable three course meal served by an attentive and courteous wait staff. 
The fundraiser supports the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake, the Athens Animal Rescue Shelter and Friends of the Animals at Cedar Creek Lake so you know your donations are going into the right paws, those who help and care for our helpless abandoned and homeless animals.
This is a “Don’t Miss” event that only happens once a year and one of the biggest and most deserving fundraisers in our community. So, get your tickets now and be prepared for fun and frolic.
