Narcotics searches render large drug stash

Rifles with high-capacity magazines were recovered during the execution of the search warrant along with a large amount of United States currency.
HENDERSON COUNTY—Narcotics Investigators Jonathan Daille, Jonathan Barrios and Brad Beddingfield along with the Henderson County Crimes Against Children Task Force Investigators executed a narcotics search June 20 at 4:26 a.m., at an address off County Road 2938 in Eustace, inside Henderson County. The search warrant was issued by 392nd District Judge Scott McKee.
According to a press release from Henderson County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), during the execution of the search warrant Richard Lee Slay and Katie Lynn Wiggins were all found at the residence and in possession of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine. Slay was also shown to be a wanted fugitive from multiple counties.
Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Henderson County jail where they were booked in for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance. Slay was also booked in for his outstanding warrants, states the release.
Occurring the same day, at approximately 3:34 p.m. Narcotics Investigator’s Jonathan Barrios and Jonathan Daille along with the Henderson County Crimes Against Children Task Force Investigators executed a narcotic search warrant at an address off West Larkin Street in Athens inside of Henderson County. The search warrant was issued by 392nd District Judge Scott McKee.
During the execution of the search warrant Jordi Pereira was taken into custody at the residence and was found to be in possession of a large quantity of suspected cocaine along with a large amount of marijuana that was packaged in gallon size bags, according to a press release from HCSO. Also, at the residence a large amount of THC wax and THC vape cartridges were located. Rifles with high-capacity magazines were recovered during the execution of the search warrant along with a large amount of United States currency.
Pereira was arrested and transported to the Henderson County Jail where he was booked in for two charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and delivery of marijuana.
Slay, Wiggins, and Pereira are all currently awaiting arraignment according to HCSO.
