Willow Deen Wier
Willow Deen Wier, 97, of Mabank went to be with Jesus Dec. 12, 2024. She was born in Dallas Jan. 27, 1927.
Deen and her husband were married in 1949 and lived in Dallas until 1973 at which time they moved to Mabank.
She worked at the Mabank public schools as a teaching assistant. Deen and husband RW were active members of the First Methodist Church in Mabank. They enjoyed traveling the United States with their camping group and seeing the sites.
Before his death Deen and RW celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Deen was preceded in death by parents Robert and Ila Hawthorne, sister Euwana, brother Dwight, and her husband.
She is survived by daughter Linda Harris and son-in-law Tom and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the First Methodist Church in Mabank.
Arrangements were handled by Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
A graveside service was held at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.
