Kaufman County swears in new officials

Kaufman County’s newly elected officials are sworn in Jan. 1 to serve the county beginning in 2025.
KAUFMAN COUNTY-Kaufman County swore in their newest officials to kick off the 2025 calendar year.
The county will see two new commissioners as Terry Crow and Kelly Lane take over their respective districts. Crow and Lane will take over for incumbents Mike Hunt and Terry Barber after winning the March 2024 Republican Primary. They were both duly elected in the November election.
“As we begin 2025, it was a pleasure to attend the swearing-in of newly elected Commissioners Terry Crow and Kelly Lane,” said Judge Allen. “I believe we’re going to accomplish much in 2025, and I look forward to us moving Kaufman County forward together.”
Kaufman County Sheriff Bryan Beavers, Judge Tracy Gray, Judge Shelton Gibbs and Kaufman County Constables Jason Johnson (Precinct 2) and Matt Woodall (Precinct 3) were also sworn in as they will continue serving Kaufman County.
