Celebration of Life services for Jerry Byron Hughey, 75, of Mabank were held Jan. 14, 2025, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank with Pastor David Jordan officiating. 
Jerry passed from this life Jan. 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 19, 1949, in Mabank to Robin Leroy and Floy Oneta (Black) Hughey. 
Jerry grew up attending school in Mabank before joining the United States Army, becoming a Vietnam veteran and recipient of a bronze star for meritorious action in combat. 
He was a very creative person who enjoyed yard projects and flower beds throughout life. He loved spending time with his adored family and driving fast cars for fun. 
Jerry married his beautiful Rebecca Aug. 3, 1979, and together they shared 45 blessed years together.
Jerry was preceded by his parents. 
He is survived by his wife, sons Nathaniel Felts and Dustin Hughey, daughters Amanda Kulsa and husband Philip and Candice Hughey, grandchildren Madisen, Cadence, Brand, Dylan, Gracie, Kyleigh and Sammy, brothers Roy Hughey and Douglas Hughey and numerous friends.
Pallbearers were Nathaniel Felts, Dustin Hughey, Philip Kulsa, Cadence Sims, Brand Felts and Dylan Hughey.
