Robert Simon’s project for the Learn with Miss Laura Science Fair, was “Can Pigs Fly.” Simon used three different materials, paper towel, bandana, and a plastic grocery bag to test his theory of which makes a better parachute.  His end result was the bandana makes for a better parachute. Simon’s project placed first in his age group, April 25.

Morgan Seibold’s project was first place, in her age group, at the Learn with Miss Laura Science Fair April 25. Seibold tested roses in various liquids to see which one would stay fresh the longest. Her results were that pennies in the water caused the rose to not only keep its freshness but to continue to grow leaves.
