Wayne Douglas Lynn, Jr.
Wayne Douglas Lynn, Jr., beloved husband, father and PaPa passed away April 29, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born Dec. 25, 1947, in Wichita Falls.
Wayne lived a full and adventurous life. He served in the United States Air Force, which allowed him to travel the world, a passion he later continued while working for a company that installed luggage terminals in airports in the United States and internationally.
Throughout his career, Wayne also had the privilege of working alongside his parents on three occasions: first at the family’s TV store, later building homes around the Dallas area and finally at Lynn’s Marine in Gun Barrel City.
Later in life, he served with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, retiring in 2021. Wayne enjoyed spending his free time fishing and playing video poker.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Billie Lynn, sister Debbie Hedrick and daughter Wendy Lynn.
He is survived by his wife Christy Lynn, daughter Christina Clack and husband Robert, grandsons Caleb and wife Sarah and Caden, his son Rick Lynn and his wife, Ana and their daughter, Caroline. He is also survived by his bonus children Nicholas Bynum and wife Holly and Wyatt Bynum and wife Amanda, sister Diana Lynn and brother Johnny Lynn as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. June 21, 2025 at the Optimist Civic Center, 410 John Thomas Drive in Seven Points. Please bring your stories of Wayne to share. A potluck dinner will follow the celebration.
