William Deloren Arnold
William Deloren Arnold entered this world Sept. 12, 1929 and passed on to meet his Maker exactly 93 years on that same date in 2022. Bill was born to Lester Jefferson Arnold and Ottie Mildred Harrison of Eustace.
Bill graduated from Eustace High School in 1946. He was honorably discharged from the US Naval Reserves, serving from December, 1947 to November, 1955.
He began working at Vought Aircraft in 1948, located in Grand Prairie (which later became E-Systems). His job assignments took him to Oklahoma, California, Florida, Porta Rico, Ohio and Thailand.
Bill then started working at Eastman-Kodak in Dallas, where he met his “sweet darlin” Frances Varnadore. They were married Sept. 15, 1975, creating a blended family.
Bill had three children William, Richard, and Sheila with his first wife Sarah. Frances had three children Jim, Ronny and Marcia with her first husband Howard.
Bill loved watching and feeding the birds, gardening, playing competitive 42 dominos and playing with his cat.
William was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Linton Arnold, sisters Helen Louise Taxis and Maxine Arnold, step-son Ronald Wayne Varnadore and son-in-law Roman Edward McDonald.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, son William Gregory Arnold and wife Tracy of Plano, granddaughter Lyndsay and husband Paul Hyland, great-granddaughters Kerri, Georgia and Annabelle Hyland of Allen, son Richard Allen Arnold of Plano, daughter Sheila Louise McDonald of Mesquite, grandson Sean McDonald and girlfriend Susanna Welch of Plano, step-daughter Marcia and husband Ken Snider of Wylie, grandson Matthew and wife Cristi Gomez, great-grandsons Aidan, Bram and Gage Gomez of Murphy, granddaughter Amber and husband Ben Mace of Fort Worth, step-son Jim and wife Jackie Varnadore of Farmington, N.M., grandson Josh and wife Rachael Varnadore, along with four great-grandchildren of Farmington, N.M., grandson Jimmy and wife Haley Varnadore and two great-grandchildren of Phoenix, Ariz.
A graveside service was held Sept. 15, 2022 at the Moorehead Melton Cemetery located in Eustace.
