KAUFMAN COUNTY—The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is investigating an incident where a deputy shot and killed a dog while responding to a 911 non-violent call, according to a news report from Fox 4 KDFW.
The incident occurred in March, after a 911 call was placed regarding a verbal argument.

KERENS—Kerens ISD (KISD) trustees voted April 22 to approve buying 150 Chromebook computers for students across all its campuses.
KISD Business Manager Kaitlyn Cotten said the price from Dell Technologies is $44,500. Related to that purchase, trustees approved a budget amendment reallocating $35,000 within the school district’s budget.
