Archie D. Edwards, 90, passed to his Heavenly home Sept. 11, 2022 with his family at his side.
Archie was born Aug. 5, 1932 to Bethel and Maude Edwards in Uncertain Texas.
Archie was a Christian by faith.
Archie retired from Neiman Marcus in 1992 where he started his employment delivering packages in 1952 over Dallas riding a bicycle.  Before his retirement he had suggested that the company start a shuttle run from Dallas to Houston exchanging merchandise via unmarked semi. This remained his position until retirement.
Archie enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing his mandolin and horse back riding where he spent many hours as a member of the Balch Springs Riding Club.
Archie was proceeded in death by his wife of 50 years Mickey and sons Paul Dewayne and Micheal Dean Edwards.
He is survived by his daughter Ardena Livingston of Malakoff, grandchildren Traci Argo and husband Eddie of Waco, Dennis Livingston Jr. and wife Jodi of Midland, Jamie Edwards of Longview, Melannie Wilkinson and husband Paul of Mabank and Marcie Besherse and husband Wes of Gun Barrel City, 14 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, sister Virginia Edwards of Ore City, daughter-in-law Debbie Edwards of Gun Barrel City, very special friend Doris Thomas of Mabank and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022 at United Methodist Church of Mabank located at 501 S. Third St. Funeral services will be held from noon to 1 p.m. with lunch at 1 p.m. with family also Saturday Sept. 24, 2022.
