Bobby Keith Sapp passed away Jan. 12, 2024, at home with his family.
He was born March 31, 1937 in Prairieville to Ira Clinton and Elsie Mae Wininger Sapp.  
He attended Mabank High School, served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from North Texas State University with a master’s degree.  
Bob and Mary Ellen Killian were married Sept. 2, 1961 and had 62 happy years together.
Though Bob was a pastor, teacher, coach and school counselor, he loved God and shared the gospel with many as he enjoyed many other activities.
As a Lay Witness Mission coordinator and Chaplin with the SBTC Disaster Relief teams, he travelled to many states encouraging those in need.  
He also enjoyed riding and trading horses and mules, hunting with dogs, raising livestock and of course spending time with his family and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Fannie Tankersley and husband Leonard, Opal Toney and husband Julius, Billie Thompson and husband Willard, Louise Myrick and husband Claude and Peggy Gunderson and husband C.J., brother J.C. Sapp and wife Eddie and son Clinton Keith Sapp.
He is survived by his wife, daughters Nancy Purdy and husband Philip and Sarah Kite and husband Eddie, son James Sapp and wife Jill,  grandchildren Haley and Nick Jensen, Aaron Purdy, Corinn and Micah Burgess, Callie Purdy, Clay and Gina Purdy, Aimee and Josh Clark, Clinton and Madelynne Kite, Shelby Kite, Andrew Sapp, Henry Sapp and Margaret Sapp,  great-grandchildren Millie, Marley and Thatcher Jensen, Charlie Burgess, Mila Clark and Otto Kite and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held Jan. 18, 2024 at Grace Community Church in Mabank.
