Daryl Lee West, 82, husband of Nina West, passed away at his home June 21, 2022.
Born in Evansville, Ind., April 21, 1940, Daryl was the son of the late Kenneth and Dolly West.  
Following high school, he joined the United States Air Force, where he proudly served four years, he then spent his career working as a driver for Roadway Trucking.  
After retirement, he found his true calling as a volunteer firefighter for the Mabank Fire Department, even becoming a nationally certified EMT at the age of 65.  
Daryl was a natural born cowboy, his greatest lifelong passion was riding his many horses over the years and working his cattle ranch. He also enjoyed sharing tales of good times with treasured friends at the local Dairy Queen.
Along with his wife Nina, Daryl is also survived by sister Linda Chapman (Richard), daughters Gina Kinsey (Doug), Carla Barnard and Alice West, beloved grandchildren Justin McBroom, Nolan McBroom and Zoe Seguin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 1 p.m.- 3 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Mabank Fire Department, 111 E Mason St. in Mabank.
