Funeral services for Earl L. McLauchlin, 96, of Mabank were held May 24, 2022 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home.
Earl passed to his heavenly home May 15, 2022. He was born in March 5, 1926 to Bennie and Jennie Cook McLauchlin in Eustace. 
He served in the Navy during World War II as an Aviation Electronic Technician's Mate at Floyd Bennett Field in New York.
Earl married his sweetheart, Dorothy L (Massey) in 1954. They were married for 67 years. Earl and Dorothy moved to Louisville, Ky., where Earl worked for the Ford Motor Company until his retirement in 1988. He was an active member of his church as a Sunday School teacher and Deacon.
After his retirement in 1988, Earl and Dorothy returned to Mabank. They lived with their son Steve’s family in Haymarket, Va., for the past four years.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, brother Murman and son Marcus.
He is survived by his wife, sons Douglas (Carolyn) and Stephen (Lynne), grandchildren Erin (Jason), Stephanie (Jonathan),Benjamin and Robin, great-grandson Owen and sister Mary Clark of Kemp.
Pallbearers were Douglas, Stephen and Benjamin McLauchlin, Richard Girard, Robert Bice and John Chismadia.
