Edmond Charles Bechard
Edmond Charles Bechard was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Chicago, Ill.
After being discharged from the Army, Ed married Margie Erickson and they had three children. They traveled often in their Volkswagen Westphalia Camper.
Ed loved working with wood, both carving and building furniture or playing “42” with the Mabank “42” club, along with playing “Bridge” at Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church.
He had worked many years as an electrician for General Motors in Arlington.
Ed is survived by his wife Sandra “Sandy” Bechard, daughters Heather Bechard of Arlington and Colleen Robertson and her husband Mark of Mabank, their two sons Jared Barr and wife Mikala and Lance Robertson, son Edmond D. Bechard and his wife Gail and their daughter Nicole of Mabank, granddaughter Angel and her children Damian, Jace and Oakley of Ft. Worth, nephew David Bechard and nieces, Robin, Kim and Heidi.
Ed passed away Aug. 15, 2022, in Gun Barrel City at the age of 81. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022 at the Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church in Tool.
