James Morgan, 81, beloved father and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place Dec. 7, 2022. He entered this world Nov. 1, 1941 in Dallas born to Ernest and Helen (Chilton) Morgan.
James was preceded in death by his parents, brothers George Ernest and Robert Arthur Morgan, sisters Minnie Bell and Melissa Faye and beloved wife Minnie Lou Morgan.
He is survived by children Minnie Helen Morgan, Sheila Jean Powers, Jason Wade Morgan and wife Melissa, Clyde C. Morgan and wife Ashley, Travis E. Morgan and wife Holly, grandchildren Melissa Singh, Katie Perez, Chase Morgan, Chance Morgan, Chandler Morgan, Betty Ann Morgan, Michael Couch, Crystal Morgan, Christy Couch, Cody and Chris Riley, Joshua, Sheila and James and sister Alice Morgan Maudlin.
James had dual service to his country as both a Marine and in the Army. He was a Mason.
He enjoyed travel. He had been to Holland, Germany and enjoyed trips to Branson, Mo., with his wife Minnie Lou. He liked carpentry and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union. He enjoyed buying and working on cars. And he was a great joke-teller.
Funeral services were held Dec. 10, 2022 at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home Malakoff with Bro. Charles Kimble officiating.
