Jeanne Sutton was born Feb. 3, 1965 and passed away March 17, 2023. Jeanne was the first born child to Gene and Mary Brown of Athens.
Jeanne attended elementary and middle school in Malakoff and attended high school in Mabank.
She lived and worked in Mabank until she started attending college at East Texas State University in 1991. Jeanne graduated with her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, specializing in reading. She went on to receive her Master’s in Education in 2005 from Texas A&M Commerce. 
At her time of death she was working on her Doctorate of Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Emphasis.
Jeanne spent the last 27 years working in the public school system. She spent 12 years in Wolfe City ISD, 13 years in Kaufman ISD and her last two years were spent in Greenville ISD.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her grandparents Doc and Dorthy Brown of Payne Springs, C.E. and Vivian Joyce Broker Beverly of Mabank and recently her father. 
She is survived by her mother, stepmother Lynda Kay Brown of Athens, brother Jim Brown and wife Staci, stepbrother Jeff Graham, stepsister Tisha Graham Sims, daughters Kandace Hass and husband Aaron and Lindsay Perez and husband Nolberto, nephews Barrett Brown, Kade Graham and wife Jolie, Clayton Sims, Kole Graham and Ryan Sims and grandchildren Asher and Harper Hass and Felix and Eddie Perez.
