Knox Nellins Lowe, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away April 12, 2024, at the age of 83. He was born Dec. 10, 1940, to Jackson Byron and Knoxie Neva Lowe and his passing has left a void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. 
Knox, affectionately known as “Papa” to his grandchildren and great -grandchildren and “Bitsy” to most other family members and loved ones, was a man who touched the lives of so many with his gentle spirit and his unwavering kindness. 
His family meant everything to him and he worked tirelessly to ensure they were always taken care of. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time fishing, boating, shooting guns and simply goofing around with his loved ones. Above all, Knox will be remembered for his humility and kindness.
Dependability was one of Knox’s strongest traits. His loved ones always knew that they could count on his unwavering support, guidance and love. He had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room. 
What truly set Knox apart was his dedication and hard work ethic, which was evident in everything he did and his family will always be grateful for the sacrifices he made for them. He had a genuine warmth and an unmatched ability to make everyone feel special. His kindness, compassion, and generosity left a lasting impact on the lives he touched.
Knox married the love of his life Jimmie Bob Lowe (Hunnicutt), August 7, 1958 and as the patriarch of his family, Knox leaves behind an incredible legacy filled with cherished memories. 
Knox was preceded in death by his parents. 
He is survived by his loving wife, children and spouses Gerald and Kym Lowe, Pam and Kenny Odom and Kim and Jason Douglas, grandchildren and spouses Candice and Paul Ylda, Heather and Justin Sanderson, Taylor Watson, Jeff Odom and Courtney Cubine, Courtney Paige and Shane Seaborn, Jarred and Lauren Odom, Josh Odom, Jill Odom, Kara Douglas and Jake Douglas, great-grandchildren Talon Ylda, Wyatt Watson, James Watson, Paislea Sanderson, Travis Sanderson, Mattie Sanderson, Lavin Seaborn and Riley Jo Odom, brother BD and Joan Lowe, sister-in-law Jeanie Phillips and brother-in-law John Hunnicutt. 
His love and devotion extended to all those he raised and nurtured, as well as to the generations that followed. He instilled in his loved ones the values of love, perseverance, and the importance of family bonds. Knox’s memory will forever be imprinted upon the hearts of those he leaves behind. 
A celebration of Knox’s remarkable was held April 16, 2024 at Eubanks Funeral Home in Mabank. 
As we bid farewell to Knox Nellins Lowe, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at eternal peace and watching over his family from above. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him and his legacy continue to inspire and bring comfort to his loved ones in the days to come. May he rest in eternal peace.
