Leslie Carter Lowery, 63, passed away Jan. 30, 2025, in Tyler. He was born Nov. 2, 1961, in Baton Rouge, La., to parents John Leslie Lowery and Ruth Estelle (Rawls) Parkerson.
Carter graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baton Rouge, La. and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. 
He worked as a designer with John Prince Originals in Dallas. He retired to Gun Barrel City in 2009. Carter enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends. 
Carter was also very active as a family consultant to the Lowery group of companies, which includes Petrochemical Contracting Services, Injection Molding Manufacturing, Property Management, FRC Clothing, Five Star Safety Training Services. He was especially proud of the family global patents in the concrete industry and their products sold all over the world. Carter traveled the country promoting the family business and was the favorite son to all the many corporate employees. His never-ending support for the family business and their employees will be missed and can never be replaced. 
Carter was preceded in death by his parents, life partner of 27 years Jimmy Dale Coomer of Gun Barrel City, brother John Stuart Lowery, brother-in-law John Wooldridge Anthony, paternal grandfather Oscar Leslie Lowery, paternal grandmother Velma Pittman, maternal grandmother Louise Catherine Rawls and his beloved dog Lucky.
He is survived by sister Melinda Louise Anthony, brother Clayton Weir Lowery and wife Cheryl Ann, nieces Ciara and Afton Lowery, nephew John Elliott Anthony and step-nephew Morgan Cole Chamblee as well as numerous friends.
A donation will be made in Carter’s name to the active Lowery Scholarship at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches.
