It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Lisa Ellen Lackey (Tatum), 64 of Tool who passed away May 18, 2026.
Born Dec. 29,1961 in Abilene, she was the daughter of Jane and Jim Tatum. 
Lisa lived a vibrant life dedicated to her family and her passions. 
She graduated from Abilene Cooper High School in 1980 and went on to have a fulfilling career as a partner with her husband in the used car business.
On Oct. 30, 1982, she married soulmate and best friend Gary Lackey. Together they shared 43 years of love, laughter and building a beautiful life. 
Lisa had a heart of gold and a talent for cooking. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, her warmth and the kindness she brought to everyone she met.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry Tatum.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, sisters Shannon Anwar and Lee Ann Barrie, nephews Justin Tatum and John Austin Tatum and a host of extended family and friends.
Her wishes were to have no service but to have her ashes placed in South Padre Island, her favorite vacation spot.
