Funeral services for Marvin Leamon Rogers, 91, of Malakoff were held Jan. 7, 2026, at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Tony Murry officiating. Burial followed at Malakoff City Cemetery. 
Leamon passed away in Tyler Jan. 3, 2026. The lifelong resident of Malakoff was born April 27, 1934, to Tom and Mamie Rogers. He retired after 47 years of employment at Texas Clay/Acme Brick in January of 2001. 
He then continued working for another 20 years for Green River Resources retiring at the age of 86. 
Before experiencing health issues, Leamon was an avid hunter and loved to garden. He was also a faithful fan of the Haltom Lady Buffaloes basketball team and enjoyed attending volleyball and basketball games at Trinity Valley Community College. He also liked watching the Texas Longhorns in football and Texas Lady Longhorns in basketball. 
He loved watching westerns on television and was huge fan of John Wayne and Audie Murphy movies. Leamon was a longtime member of Parkview Baptist Church in Malakoff. 
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife of 59 and-a-half years, Bobbie, his parents and four brothers and three sisters. 
He is survived by son Benny Rogers of Malakoff, daughters and son-in-law Lori and Drew Douglas of Athens and Mandy Rogers of Keller, brother E.L. “Benny” Rogers of Malakoff, sister Mable Simmons of Enid, Okla., brother-in-law, best friend and his primary caregiver Danny Abbott of Malakoff, grandchildren Joseph Douglas and wife Thiana of Fulshear and Jessica Douglas Madison and husband Keith of Keller and three great-grandchildren Marcela and Juliana Douglas and Parker Douglas Simmons and numerous nieces and nephews. 
Pallbearers were Michael Hunsaker, Luke Odenthal, Russell Rogers, Wesley Rogers, Clayton Simmons and Joseph Douglas. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Ray Simmons, Curtis Simmons, Bill Mullins, Carl Powell, Don Hughes and Bruce Warren.
