Mildred “Louise” Boyde Byers was born Dec. 14, 1928 in Payne Springs to Johnnie Lee and Eula Belle Chitty Boyde. Louise passed from this life and joined a host of family and friends in heaven March 12, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving children at the age of 94. 
She attended Payne Springs School and Mabank ISD.  
Louise married her one true love Roy E. (Scooter) Byers Sr. Dec. 14, 1946.  
Louise had a special gift when it came to gardening, she could make anything come back greener and brighter.  She loved baking your favorite dessert for your birthday or to say thank you.  
She also enjoyed reading books, Bible and visiting with family and friends. Her faith in Jesus Christ was seen by all who knew her. She was a long time member of Payne Springs Baptist Church. 
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years and her very special son Ronnie Dale, brothers JB Buck Boyde and Jimmy Glen Boyde, sisters Eunice Cantrell, Opal Wallace, Helen Gamble, Joyce Salazar and Mary Phillips and grandson Nicky Ballard.
She is survived by sons Roy Byers Jr, special friend Vernell of Blossom and James Earl Byers and wife Nancy of Hallsville, daughters Betty and Randy Bailey of Caddo Mills, Barbara Cuevas of Payne Springs and Janie and Butch Carter of Payne Springs, sister Linda Squire of Mesquite, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. 
Pallbearers were Trey Carter, Donald Carter, Clayton Carter, Lynn Byers, Josh Ballard and Jacob Gilstrap. Burial followed at Payne Springs Cemetery under the direction of Eubanks Funeral Home of Mabank with Bro. Philip Cook officiating.
