Celebration of life funeral services for Odessa Cooper, 81, of Arlington, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, with Pastor Cass Bowker officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2024 at the funeral home.  
Odessa passed from this life April 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 26, 1943, in Grapeland to Eldridge Manson and Maudie Lee (Brinkley) Lambright. 
She grew up in Mexia, where she met the love of her life William James Cooper. They were married April 3, 1964, and blessed with 53 wonderful years together. 
Odessa loved Jesus and was a member of Thrive Community Church in Athens. She was a part of the greeting committee every Sunday and enjoyed numerous activities the church sponsored such as Bingo and the food pantry to help “Feed the People.” 
During her free time, Odessa loved to spend time with her family. She liked to take long walks, go to garage sales, listening to music, southern gospel being her favorite and polka dancing. To relax, she enjoyed sitting on her front porch reading or working puzzles with her treasured grandchildren.
Odessa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, granddaughter Misty Llewellyn, two great-grandchildren, step-daughter Ruby Hudson, parents, brother Mack Lambright, sisters Midge Bozeman, Wanda Cooper, Doris Sprinkle and Virginia Anderson.
She is survived by daughters Cindy Turner, Mary Deering and husband Richard, Rebecca Cooper and Emily Sawyer and husband Chris, sons Billy Cooper and Jeff Cooper and wife Eva, 29 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, brother William Lambright and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Billy Cooper, Jeff Cooper, Robert Scott, Justin Petty, Tracy Berkley, Chris Sawyer, Terrell Scott and Bradley Cooper.
