Rita Faye Tennyson, 58, passed away Aug. 7, 2022. She was born Feb. 6, 1964 in Dallas to parents Earnest McLeod and Juanita Weeks McLeod.
She met her husband, Jack Tennyson and they married June 10, 1980. 
Rita loved her children Yvonne, Josh and Ethan with all her heart. Spending time with her family was one of her favorite things to do. 
She really enjoyed going to church in the courtyard at her apartment complex, where she made many friends. She will be dearly missed by many people and never forgotten.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, her mother, father-in-law Jack Tennyson Sr. and mother-in-law Connie Tennyson.
She is survived by her father Earnest McLeod Sr., children Ethan Tennyson and wife Ashley Barnett, Josh Tennyson and Yvonne Knight and husband Mike, grandchildren Savannah Cunningham, Theresa Phillips, Eli Barnett and JD Allard, great-grandchildren Eboni, Kyle, Daniel, Tucker and Haddie Mae, brothers Eric McLeod and wife Trish Perry, Paul McLeod and wife Annie, Bubba McLeod and Earnest McLeod Jr., sister-in-law Dorinda McLeod and sisters Marie Borchardt and husband Bill and Tammy McLeod.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022 at Moorhead Funeral Home located at 750 E. Main St. in Gun Barrel City.
