Ronald Stephen Holmes, 69, of Gun Barrel City passed away June 30, 2022. Ron was born Dec. 5, 1952 to parents Gerald Lee Holmes and Virginia Louise Morris. 
He married the love of his life Denise Nov. 19, 1982. Ron was a loving and doting husband, father, grandfather and friend who loved spending time with his beautiful family. 
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and BBQ grilling. Ron was an adventurous and equable man, one that loved going out on the boat, as well as watching Baseball and Football games. 
Ronald was also an avid guitarist and even made a few dulcimers. Ron will be truly missed, by all of those he met and knew through his lifetime.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, sons Jason Hagin and wife Chelsey of Keller and Gerald Holmes of Bremerton, Wash., brother Bill Jenkins of Kemp, sisters Angie Barnes of Mesa, Ariz and Sandy Colvin of Ft. Garland, Colo., as well as grandchildren Kylie Holmes, Tucker Holmes and Zoey Hagin.
A Celebration of Life was held in the Chapel of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home July 6, 2022 officiated by Reverend Kenneth Manley. A burial followed at Cedar Creek Memorial Park.
