Kitty was born in Escondido, Calif., in 1933. She grew up in southern California where she met her husband Byron.
Kitty and Byron eventually moved to Tennessee before settling in Texas. In between, she also spent several years in Denver, Colo.
Kitty spent several years dedicated to raising her children Kathy and Kevin. Afterwards, she worked in the oil and gas industry for over twenty years.
Through her retirement Kitty stayed very active. She was a proud member of several organizations including the Women’s Club, Rotary club, the Civic League and the Literary Club.
Kitty also volunteered at the Friends of the Animals clinic and was an active member of St. James on the Lake Episcopal Church in Kemp for many years.
Even with her tireless volunteerism and many organizational memberships she always had time for her wide circle of friends.
Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, brother Richard Reimer, sister June Miles, son Kevin Whitted and dear friend Jeff Singleton.
She is survived by daughter Kathy Kirby, grandson Daniel Kirby and granddaughter Rachel and husband Jeff Dickason.
