Former Payne Springs police chief accepts plea deal

HENDERSON COUNTY—The former Chief of Police for the city of Payne Springs accepted a plea deal May 17, according to court documents. April Meadows accepted the deal after she was accused of money laundering and manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance last year.
