Malakoff 8U baseball team takes second at district tourney

The weekend of June 8-9, the Malakoff 8U All-Stars wins second place at the Diamond Youth Baseball District Tournament in Corsicana, beating Grapeland (10-0), falling to Alto (9-7), defeating Slocum (18-0), beating Alto in a rematch (12-3) and losing to Fairfield (9-2) for their second-place finish, which advances the Malakoff team to the Regional tournament in Center.
