Mabank Independent School District (MISD) Superintendent Dr. Russell Marshall enters the stage to the upbeat music of “Don’t Stop Believin’”by Journey during the district’s convocation held Aug. 11. The annual convocation is held to welcome faculty and staff members back from summer break with fun and inspiring messages to begin the school year. Marshall thanked everyone for their commitment to MISD and also challenged them by saying, “One of us is not as strong as all of us.”

Dale Monnin with Drum Cafe encourages teachers to use rhythm, expression and unity. Monnin announced that Mabank is the 77th fastest growing school district in the State of Texas. Each campus was acknowledged by a beat of the drums.
