Mabank High School’s varsity boys’ and girls’ cross country teams are recognized at Mabank ISD school board meeting Nov. 17, as both teams qualified for Regional competition this past season. Mabank High School senior Trista Etheridge qualifies for the UIL State cross country meet in Round Rock Nov. 1 after finishing fifth overall at the Oct. 21 Regional meet in Grand Prairie. The Cross Roads girls’ varsity cross country team are coming home Regional champions with Cassie Turner placing first overall at the Regional XC meet in Huntsville Oct. 24. Callie Turner places third. The boys’ varsity team places 18 out of 22 teams and 162 other runners.
