Teague recognizes First Presbyterian Fall Festival

Mabank Mayor Randy Teague signs a proclamation to recognize Nov. 4, 6 and 7 as the First Presbyterian Fall Festival. The proclamation said,”Many volunteers contribute their time and talent to make the Fall Festival a success with their historical Election Day Presbyterian stew and sale of busy bee crafts, dry mixes, baked goods, jams, and jellies, a cafe serving dine-in and carry-out meals, and whereas the Fall Festival draws a large crowd into the city of Mabank each year and provides fun and fellowship for all that attend.”

Mabank recognizes rodeo volunteers

Mabank High School FFA officers played a big role in the Mabank Rodeo, according to Mayor Randy Teague, and the city council recognized them July 8. Teague said, “They volunteered and were a big part of the kids corral, we could not have made it happen without them.”

“ARRESTED” for a good cause

Mabank Mayor Randy Teague (left) is “arrested” for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle Oct. 29. The stunt is all part of a fund raiser for Kaufman County Crime Stoppers. Officials in Kaufman County are asked to be “warranted” and “arrested.” The bail money that the “offender” pays is a donation to Kaufman County Crime Stoppers.

Mabank welcomes Hoss Machinery International

MABANK–The Mabank City Council met in regular session June 6 with Mayor Randy Teague as his first meeting as mayor. He played a clip from June 6, 1944 in which then President Franklin Delano Roosevelt announced D-Day as the U.S Army invaded Normandy, France. Teague asked for remembrance of those Veterans of World War II of which he said, “we are losing (them) at an alarming rate.”
