Kemp establishes police officer recruitment plan

Body

KEMP—Kemp City Council approved a recruitment plan for new police officers during the Feb. 13 council meeting. The goal of the plan is to obtain non-commissioned recruits and send them to a Texas Commission On Law Enforcement (TCOLE) academy. The recruits would be required to sign a three-year employment contract that would require reimbursement to the City of Kemp if the employment is terminated prior to the three years.
