Davis sworn in as state district judge

Clint Davis was sworn in as judge of the 173rd Judicial District Court by Henderson County Attorney’s Office Administrator Assistant Diane Russ Nov. 5, surrounded by family while friends and members of the Henderson County legal community looked on. Davis was appointed by Gov. Greg Abbott to fill the unexpired term through Dec. 31, 2026, replacing the retired judge, Dan Moore. With his transition to the bench, First Assistant County Attorney Barry Spencer will assume the duties of the County Attorney’s Office under state law. The commissioners‘ court is expected to discuss the vacancy at an upcoming regular meeting of the Henderson County Commissioners’ Court.
