Early voting begins Oct. 21
CEDAR CREEK LAKE–Before the Tuesday, Nov. 5 election day, early voting will begin Monday, Oct. 21 through Friday, Nov. 1. The presidential election will consist of Republican candidate Donald J. Trump and running mate JD Vance, Democratic candidate Kamala D. Harris and running mate Tim Walz, Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver and running mate Mike ter Maat and Green Party candidate Jill Stein and running mate Rudolph Ware.
For the U.S. Senator race, Ted Cruz representing the Republican Party runs against Colin Allred of the Democratic Party and Ted Brown of the Libertarian Party.
In the state elections race, unopposed candidates are Mark A. Calhoon for District Judge 3rd Judicial District, R. Scott McKee for District Judge 392nd Judicial District and Jenny Palmer for District Attorney 173rd Judicial District. Clint Davis also runs unopposed for Henderson County Attorney.
Henderson County unopposed elections are incumbents Sheriff Botie Hillhouse and County Tax Assessor-Collector Peggy Goodall.
Also unopposed is Wendy Kinabrew Spivey for County Commissioner Precinct No. 1, and Charles “Chuck” McHam for County Commissioner Precinct No. 3.
Henderson County Constables running unopposed are Thomas Goodell for Precinct No. 1, Jason Ramsey for Precinct No. 2, David Grubbs for Precinct No. 3, Paul Ellzey for Precinct No. 4 and Brad Miers for Precinct No. 5.
In the City of Trinidad, the Mayoral election candidates are Bill Gifford, Penny Edwards, Kathy Airheart Kelley and Leah Melton. The City of Trinidad will also hold an election for three council members consisting of candidates Tonya Womack, Velma Womack, Teresa Crawford, Kyle Ackley, Tabitha L. Cantrell, Jeff McClintock, Melvin Thompson, Susan Dowdy and Clayton Gaddis.
In the City of Tool, three council seats will be selected from candidates Robert Stykes, Mark Holley, Greg Figueroa and Daniel E. Sayre.
The Malakoff Independent School District will hold an election for three Board of Trustee seats with candidates Bryan Young, Pat Jones, Keith Massingil and Jerry Spiva.

• The Help Center- Legacy Center located at 813 North Palestine in Athens 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday Oct. 21 through Friday Oct. 25, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26 and Monday, Oct. 28, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27.
• Seven Points City Hall located at 428 East Cedar Creek Parkway in Seven Points 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday Oct. 21 through Friday Oct. 25, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26 and Monday, Oct. 28, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27.
• First United Methodist Church Heritage Hall located at 501 Second Street in Chandler 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday Oct. 21 through Friday, Oct. 25, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Nov. 1.
• Henderson County Larue Complex located at 9551 County Road in Larue 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday Oct. 21 through Friday, Oct. 25, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Nov. 1.
