CEDAR CREEK LAKE—Sky Elements is “flying high” on the heels of receiving the golden buzzer from Simon Cowell during an America’s Got Talent (AGT) audition.
Sky Elements, who will be returning to Gun Barrel City for the city’s annual July Fest treated America’s Got Talent judges to a flight and space themed drone show that encompassed the length of three city blocks. Judges were amazed at the show stating it was epic and that they had never seen anything like it. “It was like the moon landing that type of excitement,” stated AGT Judge Howie Mandel.
Sky Elements worked with AGT to produce the show above the convention center in Pasadena, Calif. “It was one of the most challenging shows we’ve ever done because we could barely fit enough drones in the area for what we wanted to do,” states Kyle Pivnick with Sky Elements. Pivnick says the performance consisted of multiple site visits and plans and they were honored to be able to do the performance. Pivnick says it was great to see the judge’s reactions to the show.
Pivnick says the aerospace theme, which told the story of the moon landing, was all American. Sky Elements added an image of Simon Cowell’s face to the performance which was a fun comedic element.
“Really patriotic and I think the way you told the story, the use of music...whether you’re three years old, whether you’re 100 years old, I think you are going to absolutely love that audition,” stated Cowell. Cowell pushed the golden buzzer for Sky Elements advancing them straight to live performances bypassing other auditions. Pivnick says that they will have another performance with AGT around September.
Sky Elements will offer a performance Saturday, July 27 at Gun Barrel City’s July Fest which Pivnick describes as “larger than all the previous drone shows combined.” It is going to be a large-scale show, and not to be missed. Pivnick encourages everyone to come see the performance.
